Here Are Some Coffee Myths That Need To Be Busted ASAP

Imagine sitting in that egg chair hanging on your balcony on a rainy summer day with your favorite book in your hand. Everything seems perfect, but hey! Where is that warm cup of coffee, which makes everything more than perfect? 

Perhaps, a few of you must be thinking that you should not include coffee in this fantasy, only because of so many myths floating around about coffee. For instance, there is a myth that coffee makes you poop (which is true). But what about those that are absolutely UNTRUE? Well, don’t be worried,  because we are here to dispel some of these myths, once and for all. 


1. Coffee causes insomnia

A common about your cup of joe is that it can make you an insomniac, which is absolutely incorrect. A reasonable amount of coffee doesn’t impact your sleep cycle. In fact, it is processed through one’s liver as quickly as water.

2. Coffee makes you lose weight

There is another common myth that black coffee, makes you lose those extra pounds instantly. However, that is partially true. Black coffee helps increase your metabolic rate and has the potential to reduce your desire to eat. This element can help you burn calories faster while working out along with improving your athletic performance and endurance.


3. Coffee is dehydrating

Another commonly known myth states that coffee makes you dehydrated, which is absolutely fabricated. A normal cup of java has plenty of water consistency, which makes up for the extra amount of caffeine present in the cup.

4. Coffee stunts one’s growth

This is yet another concocted myth that has been roaming around since forever. There is no evidence about who or when this myth started, but this is nothing more than an old wive’s tale. There is no scientific research that supports the veracity of this claim.


5. Coffee isn’t healthy

It is commonly believed that coffee isn’t healthy. However, the truth is entirely opposite to that. You will be astonished to know that your brew is loaded with some powerful nutrients. It contains antioxidants, potassium, niacin, magnesium, and much more.
