“The customer is always right”, “Treat your customers well”
If you own your own business or have read a commerce textbook, you know that these two rules are pretty up there if you want to do well.
Social media has changed the rules when it comes to talking to customers, but nonetheless, the customer is still supreme. Some people however do not follow the rule book, and one such example is OPTP.
Pakistani fast food chain, OPTP posted about their Ramazan deal, but their comments section was anything but kind and caring
The OPTP page has been blunt, unapologetic and fierce. Pehla roza bhi nahin hua, aur inn ka mood pehle se hi kharab hai!
Check out some of their more ‘interesting’ comment and see for yourself:
They didn’t deal too well with people asking for more information
And they took being a Grammar Nazi to a whole new level
No no no no! Kuch zyada ho gaya!
OPTP doesn’t seem too open on any sort of criticism
Yup, they really don’t like being told off
But they clearly crossed some lines.
Many people were pissed off with the way OPTP was dealing with their comments and many people called them out for it. But then there were also people who found it extremely hilarious.
While we may be scandalized reading these comments, OPTP think they’ve done nothing wrong.
And they’re pretty determined to NOT play by the book
They don’t like ‘H8ers’ and they don’t want to have to deal with them either
And they’re proud of it
We may not like it (as if they care), but you’ve got to admit its an interesting way to deal with them haters. All of us know how bad the hate can get on Pakistani Facebook and Twitter. Maybe they’re onto something, but for now it just seems a little bit too extreme.
