As ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi; comes to an end, we say goodbye to a show that pioneered important conversations online, conversations we needed to have. The drama gained significant prominence after it aired a controversial marital rape scene, and stimulated debates about the fetal state of our repressive society.
Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf were the winners, with their respective characters Noori and Bhola giving us so much to ponder over.
Iqra took to her Instagram to bid goodbye to the show that gave her so much, and also individually thanked her co-stars in a fitting tribute to ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi.’
The actress thanked Asma Abbas, Zeb Rehman, Syed Jibran and Imran Ashraf individually, with the latter’s message being the loveliest: “You;re such an incredibly unpredictable actor k apny mujhe mushkil main daaldiya tha. Shukriya mujhe bhola sy milany ka aur usko itna qareeb sy jaan kar zindagi ko ek nayi nazar sy dekhny ka mauqa dene ka.”
