‘Sarahah’ is a new app that seems to have taken Pakistan by storm. The app quickly started trending on the App Store and now it’s also trending on desi twitter. It seems as though everyone is using it, and then tweeting about it.
What is ‘Sarahah’ you ask?
Created by Saudi Arabian developer Zain al-Abidin Tawfiq, the app and website is a platform where you can leave anonymous messages for people. What was once a corporate tool is now the latest internet fad for the millennials. The nature of the messages is up to you but do keep in mind that that it was created to spread positivity and leave positive feedback.
Most people were a little apprehensive about trying out the app:
Tempted to make this Sarahaha thing…

But then they all succumbed to the pressure, and compliments started flowing in:
Awww! It's unreal how much love Khuda aur Mohabbat still gets! #Sarahah@Sarahah_com pic.twitter.com/DrLkFizrB7
— Hifza Khan (@hifzakhann) August 22, 2017
Important life questions were asked:
#Sarahah@Sarahah_com I'm paindu AF. Come on. ? pic.twitter.com/S2hGV44t2q
— MARIA (@Habibtee_) August 22, 2017
While others dove right into the gossiping:
Loved it#Sarahah@Sarahah_com pic.twitter.com/sXE9UrSq9F
— Mahwash Ajaz (@mahwashajaz_) August 21, 2017
Then stuff got a little creepy and invasive:
People who don't exist ?@Sarahah_com pic.twitter.com/IjCIPaDG4m
— Yo. (@LadyMishap) August 22, 2017
It soon became a little mean:
#Sarahah This is going nicely so far pic.twitter.com/OY3eeZexbg
— Tariq. (@sarcastariq) August 22, 2017
Then, it went back to being SUPER creepy:
kya ghaleez log ho tum log pic.twitter.com/lf1thhjCp1
— Faizan. (@merabichrayaar) August 21, 2017
Not everyone was having a good/creepy time:
All of you getting ego boosters on Sarahah shit while I am getting questions about the Kashmir issue, Data Science and football tactics.
— o (@omairraslam) August 22, 2017
Tsk. Now that’s boring af.
Magar banda kitne hi compliments sunay apnay baaray mein:

— Faizan. (@merabichrayaar) August 21, 2017
There were just too many ‘confessions’
Despite everything, people were still confused about how to use it:
Oh, shit are we supposed to answer those Sarahah questions ?
— حمدہ (@kohlrimmedeyes) August 22, 2017
Of course, the ‘trend’ got to some people:
Please use the hashtag #Sarahah while tweeting your crap so I can mute it all in one go ☺
— سارہ خلیلی (@SaraKhlili) August 22, 2017
There were some online, who didn’t see the faida of Sarahah:
So tired of seeing Sarahah. Man up and tell the person, don't hide behind an app ??♀️
— Cheyenne (@cheyyhartsook) August 22, 2017
