Shahzeb Khanzada Just Lectured General(R) Musharraf On His Extremely Sexist Remarks And That's Absolutely Brilliant

By Alveena Jadoon | 29 Dec, 2017

Shahzeb Khanzada is one of Pakistan’s most prominent journalists in Pakistan and has managed to woo the audience with his progressive outlook. Calling out people for their misogynist views to pushing the authorities to not push crucial problems under the rug – you name it and the man has done it.

In a short span, Shahzeb has made his mark on Pakistani TV as one of the few voices that don’t shy away from calling people out on their BS

Previously, it was Mustafa Kamal’s sexist remarks on his show which earned him a lecture in not indulging in casual sexism

This time around, he called out General(R) Musharraf for his sexist remarks while referring to PPP chairman Bilawal Zardari

Shahzeb Khanzada was quick to pick up on these remarks and corrected Mr. Musharraf for demeaning women

No wonder the journalist is making waves. It takes a lot of guts to be a face of the mainstream media and correct the stances of those who amass power

His blatant refusal to accept misogynist views and casual sexism is making him a favourite among the audiences and more and more people return to watch his show and listen to his perspective on the current affairs.

The country has produced strong, independent and powerful women, who have led progressive movements and pushed the country to a new dimension of development. This means that being a woman should not be an insult, and those wanting to lead us must not hold such orthodox thoughts.

Once again, Pakistanis are applauding Shahzeb’s efforts to teach our politicians basic decency, the need to view both genders as equal, and to not refer to one gender as an insult

Thank you, Shahzeb Khanzada for using your position to constantly reinforce this important message. Often, due to larger chain of events, people tend to overlook the problems that plague the society on a minute to minute basis and holds individuals back. More power to you.
