The Official Teaser Trailer For Frozen II Just Dropped And I Legit Can't Let It Go

By Sajeer Shaikh | 13 Feb, 2019

Look, I love animated movies as much as the next person. Brother Bear taught me love, Cinderella taught me patience, Bambi taught me pain, and for that – well, I’ve never fully recovered. But Frozen. Oof. Frozen taught me that if you make a catchy song – just one catchy song – millions will fall in love with an otherwise questionable character. (Sorry, I have major beef with Elsa.)

But my personal biases aside, Frozen was a global phenomenon.

It was like the Minions, you know? Elsa was EVERYWHERE. Never mind the fact that Anna was the real MVP who risked her life to save her absentee sister’s frozen ass. Or even Kristoff who had nothing to do with the entire fiasco – boy just wanted to be repaid for the only means of his livelihood.

But khair, if you’re a Frozen fan, there’s some pretty neat news for you. The teaser trailer for Frozen II just dropped.

And I’m about to walk y’all through it. Let’s go.

So it starts with some high quality visuals…

…and homegirl Elsa is standing alone on some kinda seashore, just staring at the waves.

Paani ne aap ka kya begara hai behen?

With a determined expression dressing her face, she undresses partially…

(See what I did there.)

…and marches back…

…tying her hair.

Because Star Plus shashkay toh daalne hain.

I’m just going to leave a screen grab of her clothes, btw.

Sis, that outfit was cool in Pakistan, like, ages ago. Move on from chooridaar pyjamas, Elsa. We know we have.

Then, she runs towards the body of water, giving zero fricks. Like none.

Kinda reminds me of that scene in Dear Zindagi when Shah Rukh and Alia are trying to get all up and cozy with the waves. Just me?

Anyway, she fails to freeze water the first time around (because apparently, freezing Arendelle wasn’t enough in the first part.)

So she tries again.

Elsa’s mushaqat aside, can we just appreciate the visuals?

We also see Anna…

That tiny thing is Anna.

…and my man, Kristoff.

We also see a new character…

…who seems super badass.

Kurri chalaanga maardi ai.

Elsa and Olaf are also seen stuck in some purple-pinkish circle.

And we see all our heroes (well, almost all – the jury’s still out on Elsa) staring over at what I assume is Arendelle.

I mean, I could be wrong. Looks like a random scenery.

The trailer ends on a hella ominous and dramatic note…

…with Anna pulling a MAJOR Arya Stark move.

The queen Arendelle needs, tbh.

Well, despite being 23, I’m SUPER invested in this. I have countless questions. Why is Elsa running towards water in efforts to freeze it? Is it because the ice caps are melting at alarming rates in her realm too? Makes sense if she used her powers for SOME good. Who is this new character? What’s the scene between Anna and Kristoff? And what’s up with the Game of Thrones vibes?

I NEED TO KNOW.

Anyway, here’s the entire teaser trailer, y’all.

Let me know if you have any theories in the comments below. Thanks.
