This Journalist In Islamabad Was Just Arrested For Allegedly Torturing His Wife To Death

Ali Salman Alvi, a journalist in Islamabad, was arrested by Rawalpindi police for allegedly torturing his wife, Sadaf Zahra Naqvi, to death. 

Recently, #JusticeforZahra began trending on twitter after her story about domestic violence was narrated through a Twitter thread.

Sadaf Zahra Naqvi allegedly caught her husband, journalist Ali Salman Alvi, cheating on her on multiple occasions even after the birth of their daughter. Further probing into the matter, it was also discovered that Ali Salman Alvi ha allegedly also been blackmailing others.

This also initiated a series of beatings and abuse that Sadaf reportedly endured. 

Sadaf Zahra had also talked about domestic abuse in her twitter thread and had advocated against it

Not long after the thread was posted, Rawalpindi Police took action and even assured the prevalence of justice.

Under the lieu of multiple charges including murder, violence, and blackmail, Ali Salman Alvi was put behind bars.

This awful and tragic incident gained attention from all around Pakistan
