You all remember Shaan Shahid? Yes, the Lollywood actor turned social media phuppo. The actor is notorious for posting weird thoughts on social media. Whether it’s trolling Mahira for going to Cannes or having all sorts of meltdowns, he has a very *ahem* strange twitter persona. Well, he’s back, you guys and this time it is a political khichri.
Yesterday, Shaan tweeted about loyalty to his country and having no political affiliations whatsoever.
No political party is bigger than Pakistan 🇵🇰❤️ loyalty to my motherland only ..

Awww. Now, this seemed like a cute senti patriotic boy tweet and we’re here for it. We understand. That’s how it should be. After all, politics is hella toxic.
But that’s not how people reacted.
One guy on twitter pointed out how this past opinions suggested anything BUT
To which Shaan responded:
ایک ہی دن میں عقل ٹھکانے آگیی کیا؟؟ سُپر ہیرو😇

NO CLUE why did Shaan bring in the Ex Prime Minister by calling him a Lohaar and the current one by reminding everyone that he was a Cricketer? Is he thinking of joining politics? Isn’t it what they all do after the movie career ends? YIKES.
And that’s when it all began…
i wasnt expecting such shitty comment from u. i thought u r an educated person but the way u ridicule ex pm as lohar is simply yukh. eeeeeeew.
pathetic n ridiculous. https://t.co/UsSKgOM94B— MARYAM CHISHTI PMLN voter te supporter (@sweetmaryamshah) February 12, 2019
People started calling him out on his unnecessarily snarky remark:
Lohar and a cricketer what is logic behind this. I only see here is your biasness. What a travesty of logic. And I m sure every1 knows Superman can't fly in real life but surely he knows how to express his opinion without inciting others.

Others deemed it as ‘expected’
I was expecting similar reply by so called super hero of industry.. just to inform you.. superman knows how to talk and behave.. wish you could understand ur pain

This guy invited him to a private dance party. Even offered to pay for the train ticket and the food.

This man was kinda confused like all of us, TBH.
Are you talking about permanent 12 pass league since 1947 too ? Or you are talking about Vote Choor Party which ruled almost uninterrupted for 3 decades?
— Shazain ijaz (@IjazShazain) February 13, 2019
This man says that he has seen the ugly side of Shaan now and honestly, he would have preferred if he had not said anything at all in the first place.

This man LITERALLY begged Shaan to take a chill pill and get off the Internet. He said you are not the only patriot here, bro. Every Pakistani is.

At the end, Shaan shared this little nugget clarifying his stance:
Actors and people in the media have a responsibility when interacting with people on the internet but Shaan needs a proper crash course. A word of advice, use your words wisely or don’t talk at all. What do you think about this whole episode? Do you think Shaan will make for a good politician? Let us know in the comments below.
