In Pakistan our community living is very strong. Especially when it comes to neighbors, they are considered as an extended family. From borrowing sugar and spices occasionally to having them baby sit for children our lives depend on neighbors in interesting ways. However some times differences arise even in-between neighbors.
Pepsi’s new refreshing TVC is a beautiful depiction of how we can break barriers with the power of friendliness. The ad film is gripping from its very first frame, and leaves us with thought provoking questions in our minds. The commendable slogan has already been making us curious for the past few days and this ad lives up to all the anticipation. In a very subtle fashion this unusual and simple film delivers a refreshing message.

Interestingly, this ad film also suggests that our younger generation has a different take on things all together. Seems like Pepsi is giving voice to what the young millennial has always wanted to say, to begin the change they have always wanted to see. Syra’s character symbolizes bold optimism while the legendary Marina Khan represents the typical mindset. Syra’s character encourages looking beyond set ways of thinking, because sometimes small fun filled gestures break huge walls of differences. Sometimes fun can help rebuild a friendly association.
