Malala and Zayn Malik? Now, this is a collab I stan wholeheartedly.
Malala Yousafzai is a young woman who basically needs no introductions.
But since she is an overall queen whom I stan with all my heart, I’ll talk about her regardless. The Pakistani activist for female education and youngest Nobel Prize laureate has constantly been a source of pride for the nation, and any appreciation we send her way falls short, because she’s just THAT great.
Then, in the same article, we have the British-Pakistani singer Zayn Malik.
Before Zayn went solo and wowed the world with his own style of music, he was one-fifth of the now-dispersed boy band, One Direction, and I’ll be honest, I was a fan.
Why have I mentioned these two in the same piece?
Well, let’s trace back to Zayn’s tweet in support of Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that rallies for female education, founded by Malala.

Essentially, Zayn Malik is now officially a supporter of Malala Fund.
I mean, I don’t know about you guys, but I love a woke, responsible icon rallying for female education. Go, Zayn.
However, what I’m absolutely living for is Malala responding to Zayn with THIS:
You’re headed in the right Direction 🙏💜 https://t.co/0k0T4oBUpa

The right direction. LOL. LOVE THAT. Go, Malala! Work those pop culture references, queen.
Honestly, this makes my heart soar. Two Pakistanis (yes, Zayn counts), collaborating to make the world a better place. Best interaction to wake up to today, I’ll be honest.
People on Twitter seem to love this, too.
Never wrong when you stan Zayn Malik 🙌🏼❤
