Hamza Ali Abbasi is having to defend himself for his old comments that aren’t even THAT weird, tbh
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz passed away after a battle with cancer, yesterday and most of Pakistanis, including some of the most prominent personalities, of the country have been paying their condolences to family members of the deceased.
Since most celebrities took to Twitter to offer their empathetic and emotive condolences, Hamza Ali Abbasi also offered his comments
The actor, who is also a devout supporter of PTI always has something to say. This time was one of those but he got dragged into some messy controversy.
In his tweet, after extending his condolences, the actor stated that people should not politicize the matter by saying that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz should be released following the death of Begum Kulsoom.

After, what looked like an innocuous tweet to us, people didn’t seem to be too happy with the actor
Some said that the family members deserved to be allowed to mourn the death of their loved one.
Have some compassion. They deserve to be able to mourn the death of a loved one.

It became so intense that Hamza had to clarify the matter and said that he still stands by his words
He said that knowing the insensitivity of his words at this time of grievance, he wont stand back from propaganda by the PML-N supporters.

He also said that his old tweet is being misused by the PML-N’s social media team
Hamza said that he has the right to defend himself while he’s being bashed for no reason.

Khair, the guy is not new to being controversial time and again. But lets cut him some slack this time around, he actually does have a point.
