Pakistanis stood up for Kashmir and the whole country came to a standstill

Prime Minister Imran Khan very recently addressed the entire country where he touched upon the Kashmir crisis and asked for Pakistanis to come out in protest at 12 PM every week all around the country for 30 minutes. While some people were skeptical on how the protest would help, a lot of people showed up and participated all across the country.

The peaceful protests by Pakistanis for Kashmir have become a world trending top all over social media

Hopefully this will yield the world community’s attention to the plight of Kashmiris.

But some people still thought it wasn’t a good idea to protest in the first place

Shahid Afridi led protests in Karachi at the Mazaar-e-Quaid

And Prime Minister Imran Khan led protests in Islamabad and even broadcasted a speech and talked about Narendra Modi’s facist government

People all around the country were protesting and completely involved in the protest. The protest was to demonstrate to the world that Pakistanis are siding with Kashmir. While a lot of people argued that it did not do any good for Kashmir, it was a huge protest which will hopefully be covered by international news outlets that will talk about the issue in Kashmir on their channels and hence get more international attention towards the issue. Hopefully this protest will spark protests all around the world.

Do you think the protest for Kashmir in Pakistan today was useful? Let us know in the comments below.
