Oh Shit! A New iPhone Bug Lets You Spy On Any Apple User Through FaceTime

By Biya Haq | 29 Jan, 2019

Yikes, that is one bad apple.

So basically, Apple pretty much screwed up big time.

The tech giant realized a massive issue in the ‘FaceTime’ feature, noticing that while using the ‘Group call’ function, the device’s microphone picks up the call even if the receiver hasn’t answered it themselves.

In other words, FaceTime basically has been spying on us through calls and we didn’t even know it.

Yep.

The flaw itself seems to be most experienced when both users were using IOS software, 12.1 and above.

And okay it may not be as dramatic as it sounds. When making a call to a friend via FaceTime group chat, you may hear the phone ring a couple of times and then hear bits of your receiver’s environment before the call is shut after too many rings.

You may have noticed this once or twice in your own calling experiences but may not have thought much of it. But friends, Apple is thinking about it, a lot.

The company announced that it would be coming up with an update and roll it out this week. Yay, ANOTHER update.

Either way, people all over the world have been bugging out. (Get it?)

^ UM YEAH BTW, this explains why it couldn’t be deleted!

Android users are NOT holding back

But friends, for those of you who would like to be cautious, you can disable the FaceTime feature by going into your settings.

Follow the steps outlined below and you should be fine until further notice.

We are about to be living in an Android world, people. But also raise your hand if you MISS BLACKBERRY.

Have you heard about the glitch? Let us know in the comments below! Love you.
