Yuzvendra Chahal is winning fans over with his generosity

As Pakistanis, I know we are still embarrassed by the brutal way we lost to India during yesterday’s Asia Cup match. It particularly hurts when the boys lose to India but often these situations bring out the evil in us, and we choose to turn to hate rather than love. But our players were more than happy in sharing, and receiving love, with the opponents.

India may have won the score and the match, but humanity was the real winner at the game last night

During the match, a kind gesture made by Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal took us all by surprise. During the match, Usman Khan was having trouble running back and forth on the pitch and all of a sudden the audience witnessed Chahal kneel to the ground to tie his opponent’s shoe.

If this does not give you faith in humanity, I don’t know what will. Despite being rivals in the field, Chahal put aside their differences and helped out a fellow cricketer.

People praised Chahal for his kind action and almost everyone thought this was the most beautiful moment

The moment made people feel a little too many feelings

Chahal exemplified what being a team player is about

#LoveAlwaysWins

I’m not crying, you’re crying

As a Pakistani who doesn’t believe there should be differences between human beings, this action really tugged at my heart strings. It made me feel all warm and cozy inside, not only because an interaction between Indian and Pakistan Cricket players, but because it was a humane gesture among two human beings.

The faster we realize we all live under the same sky, the sooner we will learn our social responsibilities.

What do you think of Yuzvendra Chahal’s action, let us know how this gesture made you feel.
